Dave saves, RVP skill, United passing & more GIFs from the Fulham game

Manchester United opened up a 9 point lead at the top of the Premier League thanks to a hard fought victory versus Fulham at Craven Cottage (and City drawing with Liverpool).
United recalled Antonio Valencia and Nani to the wings and Thomas Cleverley came back into midfield to partner Michael Carrick. Nemanja Vidic was rested with the game v Everton in mind (expecting a an aerial battle).

The game got off to a frantic start, both teams forcing good saves from the respective keepers as well striking the woodwork. The game was decided with just over 10 minutes to go, Wayne Rooney who was a threat all game calmly finding the corner as he strode into the Fulham area.
The Reds withstood the late Fulham pressure to put themselves in a brilliant position with 13 games to go.

There was lots of quality on show, here are my Top GIFs…

PL 13/5/12 Sunderland v Manchester United

United took care of their business on the final day and got the 3 points to make sure City had to win, in order to become Champions on goal difference. They did and United missed out.

United played brilliantly in the first half, getting the goal and creating plenty of other chances. The second half got cagey as nerves took control but United soon took control and saw the match out with ease, keeping possession and not looking to force anything.

My Beautifully Red moments of the match are

1. Antonio Valencia play

Tony V skins his defender with a simple touch and show of his speed. His cross was a dangerous one that was well defended by Sunderland.

PL 08/04/12 Manchester United v QPR

What a beautiful Sunday. United did the job and beat QPR 2-0 at Old Trafford putting themselves 8 points clear of City before their kick off with Arsenal. City lost. 8 points 6 games to go. Come on!

United played sensibly after QPR were reduced to 10 men after half hour and dominated the game, it was all that was required and another 4 like that will see us home.
There was lots to enjoy, here is a little selection

1. Tony Valencia ‘Megs’

Lovely knock from Scholes to Valencia, who faced up his defender before passing the ball through his legs to Welbeck. Cheeky.

PL 2/4/2012 Blackburn Rovers v Manchester United

United visited Blackburn with the chance to really put the pressure on Man City after their dropped points at the weekend, and despite a pretty dominate performance possession wise United had to wait til near the end to take the MASSIVE 3 points home. Typical United!

United played some good stuff throughout, here’s my little selection for you to enjoy

1. Rio pass, Evra control

Drilled pass out wide from Rio and a superb piece of control by Evra. Impressive as it was only 42 seconds into the game. Hows your early touch!
