Is David de Gea that bad? His best GIF moments of the season so far…

With talk all over the media and twitter about David De Gea and his Manchester United future, I thought I would share some of the moments of brilliance he has produced this season.

I’m not saying he is perfect, and at 22 years old still has a lot to learn but for me, there has been improvement in his weaker areas this season as well as his continued excellence at shot stopping and his distribution from feet.

Here are some of his best moments so far this season…

RVP Skill, Pass & Move, Cleverley touch and more Utd GIFs from Spurs game

Manchester United came away from a snow filled battle at White Hart Lane with a good point. The game, which was in doubt before kick off due the conditions, went ahead and for 92 minutes the Reds game plan of looking to hold Spurs after taking a first half lead looked to have worked.
Spurs late leveler will of course hurt, as will reflecting on what could have been, but United put up a great defensive display (much improved on our 2012 form) and with another tough away trip checked off the fixture list and a healthy 5 point lead at the top of the table will be in confident mood as we reach the title run in.

There were plenty of positives – De Gea made some crucial saves, our defence was much better, the likes of Welbeck, Kagawa and Cleverley again showed promise in their link play and then there is Robin van Persie scoring again.

Lots of moments to enjoy, here are my Top 5 GIFs…

Ryan Giggs dominates the GIF of the Match Poll v West Ham. Full results are…

Ryan Giggs gave a timely reminder of the ability he still has in the FA Cup tie with West Ham United which the Reds won 1-0 to progress to the 4th Round. A constant threat via some brilliant passing and some direct dribbling we have seen many times before, he was named MOTM on the night.

Involved in 3 of the 5 top GIF moments, he won plenty of votes.

Amazing Giggs run and passes plus more Utd GIFs from West Ham victory

Manchester United progressed the 4th Round of the FA Cup after beating West Ham Untied 1-0 in a replay of the 3rd round tie.
United rested several key players with a tough visit to Spurs at the weekend and took the opportunity to welcome back a few players from recent injuries into the first team with Anderson, Nani and Wayne Rooney all starting.

The clean sheet would be a real boost for the Reds, with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have brilliant games at centre back. Wayne Rooney marked his return with the only goal and Ryan Giggs turned back the clocks to be the stand out player from both teams throughout.

RVP Skill, Kagawa touch and more Utd GIFs from Liverpool game

Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1. Beautiful result to seal a double over Liverpool this season and keep their 7 point lead at the top of the Premier League intact.

United recalled Danny Welbeck to the starting line up, a decision that paid off as he was named MOTM by Sky’s Gary Neville.

The Reds domianted the first half with the very promising midfield trio of Carrick, Cleverley and Kagawa playing some neat football, liking well with Welbeck and Van Persie to create enough chances to have the home crowd wondering how it was only 1-0 at HT.
A second did come, and despite Liverpool having the better of the 2nd half, United’s defence, leaky this season, held firm to see the Reds home.

West Ham v Man Utd: 5 Beautiful MUFC GIF Moments…

Manchester United again came from behind to salvage a draw at West Ham in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup thanks to some injury time magic.
United will be in the hat for next round draw but will need to see off West Ham at the second attempt in the replay next week.

The Reds rested some key players and started with the diamond formation seen a few times this season. It helped United start really well, with Scholes, Cleverley, Kagawa, and the pushed forward Rafael played some neat passing football.

Disappointingly for United, once ahead they allowed West Ham to get back into the game and the home side pushed on. There were not many chances for United to draw level into a few moments of pure genius rescued the game.

Here are my top 5 GIF moments from the game…

December Player of the Month & his top 5 GIF Moments…

December saw United pick up 16 from a possible 18 points in the League with their only dropped points coming in a tough away visit to Swansea City where they drew 1-1. They negotiated the busy festive period brilliantly and headed into the New Year with a 7 point lead at the top of the table.

There have been a few stand out performers in this time, Jonny Evans has seen his stock rise to first choice CB, Michael Carrick is starting to get the plaudits he deserves and Javier Hernandez has found goals, but for me their is one clear winner.

My December Player of the Month is Robin van Persie.

A truly world class player at the top of his game and helping guide United to their current league position with his goals, all round play and attitude.

Here are his Top 5 GIF Moments to feature on the site in December…
