PL 22/04/12 Manchester United v Everton

No game is easy during the title race and Everton showed United the hard way. Despite 2nd half leads of 3-1 and 4-2, some poor United defending and a very good and spirited Everton display saw them go home with an amazing 4-4 draw.

Uniteds defending let them down on what had been a brilliant attacking performance.
The Beautifully Red moments this week are…

1. Carrick pass, Nani touch

Carrick and his midfield partner Scholes had a quiet game but here Carrick pings a stunning ball out wide that lands almost perfectly on the foot of Nani as he controls it on the run. His trick on the goal line almost came off too. Class all round.

2. Valencia touch

Tony Valencia is the latest player to throw his name in the ‘Best Berbatov Impression’ award, as he controls a United clearance. He follows it up by a nice 1-2 with Rooney, showing his pace to win a free kick.

3. Evra Nani 1-2, Evra skill

Evra and Nani play a clever 1-2, which sees Evra play a cheeky little pass. Nani then plays in Evra whos cross gets blocked.

4. Welbeck goal

Danny Welbeck was my MOTM. He has had a great debut season and he thoroughly deserved this stand out moment. He throws a little dummy to engineer the space and the bends the ball beautifully into the top corner.

5. Nani goal

Replays HERE

As we saw at the start of the season, and some glimpses since, United are able to play some stunning football. This goal was down to some brilliant slick passing to get Nani in, and his ‘dink’ finish is something we have seen before. Classy.

BONUS
Rooney first goal – Nice start by Carrick, Great Nani cross
Hernandez jumps out of his seat to celebrate Welbeck goal
Rooney 2nd goal – Beautiful Play between Rooney and Welbeck. REPLAYS
