PL 15/04/12 Manchester United v Aston Villa

5 Points clear, 4 Goals, 3 points and a clean sheet. Just what United needed after their defeat at Wigan and Citys win at Norwich.

United were at their best in the first half, dominating from the start and ensuring they went in at HT 2-0 up. They coasted through the 2nd half and added a further 2 goals.
Here are my favourite moments from the game

1. Scholes chest pass

Under a high ball, Paul Scholes simply chests the ball to Patrice Evra first time. Class.

2. The Scholes Corner

Like we have seen before, the corner is knocked out to Scholes who shows all his beautiful technique to hit a first time volley that wasnt far from finding the net. I love this man.

3. Valencia Megs, Cross for Welbeck chance

Valencia, like a few games ago nutmegs a defender with a pass. He gets it back from the impressive Rafael and smashes a cross into the box where a fine save from Given denies Danny Welbeck his 2nd goal of the game.

4. Rafael backheel

Rafael was superb all afternoon, winning 8/8 tackles and linking brilliantly with Valencia on the right. Here he plays a cheeky backheel to get Valencia in out wide.

5. Welbeck touch

I thought Welbeck also had a great, a constant threat with his energy and Berba-esque technique. This piece of control is just beautful. Why this blog was made.

BONUS: He also had a touch of class in the first half which after he drove into the box and had a shot.

BONUS
Rooney flick for Welbeck
Carrick doing what he does best
Carrick doing what he should more, driving into the box
Nani goal, Evans assist!

Awesome once again mate. I’m starting to watch games and notice bits that I know you’re gonna pick up on for your gif run-down… If Scholes had pulled off the corner routine, it would’ve been goal of the season, i’ts great that he seems more confident in trying it after his long ranger against QPR. The other moment of the match has to be that assist from Evans, it was sharp, delicate, composed. He should play up front!

Absolutely delighted with beautifullyred. Each time something beautiful happens in matches, I go on to think “Ok, will this moment be uploaded in beautifullyred”. Great work guys.

To be fair, watching Scholes yesterday you could have made 10 gifs of some of the stuff he was pulling off. Keep up the good work.
